Mission

As an Area Sales Manager, you will manage business across Germany by working closely with our distributor network and key accounts in both on-premises and retail sectors.

Your focus will include opening new accounts such as regional hotel, restaurant, retail, or cash and carry chains, growing prestige wines distribution in the most iconic and premium restaurants of your area and developing business plans and sales for our best sellers with our existing customers database.

 

You will exceed the stated goals by creating monthly placements, programs and brand embassies. Together with the distributor salesforce you will implement, monitor and evaluate these programs execution while in the trade. You will connect with key-accounts to grow our business by targeting sales by brand and monitoring the execution via sales reporting.

By utilizing sales data and information you will identify opportunities and achieve brand standards. By conducting business meetings, retailer- and staff trainings you will create ambassadors for our brands. Through leadership, inspirational confidence, and gained respect as our company spokesman during meetings and work withs, you will motivate and manage distributors salesforce and agencies.

 

Job requirements

·         Strong affinity with wine and experience in the wine industry preferred in Germany in particular,

·         Fluent in German (preferably native) and English language,

·         Based in Germany (ideally Frankfurt or Munich) with flexible mobility

·         Organized, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently in-market

·         Evening and weekends work as required for events

·         Strong, tactful and effective closing skills

Assets for this position

·         Mastery of the French and German Culture

·         Knowledge of French language

·         Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality, or equivalent professional experience in wine or hospitality
